KNOPPIX6.1はCeBIT

http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/見に行ったらKNOPPIX6.1について少し情報が更新されてました。
どうやら毎年の恒例ということでCeBITで配るみたいです。

Announcement: KNOPPIX 6.1 / ADRIANE 1.1 @ CeBIT 2009 and german c't magazine

On the occasion of this year's CeBIT, issue 6/09 of the german c't magazine is featuring the Knoppix 6.1 DVD edition. Knoppix 6.1 DVD, like the current CD beta version, is based on Microknoppix with a faster boot procedure, and is installable on flash-memory (and harddisk). A lot of software from the Debian GNU/Linux pool is installed (including KDE 4.2 and Gnome 2.2), and it also supports ADRIANE as boot option. During the expo, Version 6.1 will be presented at the Rheinland-Pfalz booth in hall 9, and once a day a talk by Klaus Knopper takes place at the Heise booth.

KNOPPIX 6.0 / ADRIANE 1.1 - Live CD

The current public beta CD release of KNOPPIX 6.0.1 with ADRIANE 1.1 is available in different variants for download at the Knoppix-Mirrors.


ISOイメージの種類が増えて、デフォルトでKNOPPIXが起動するイメージとADRIANEが起動するイメージがありました。

とりあえずVMWareで起動してみたので、少しだけ6.0と比較

  • 起動画面
    • 前はXのログが出てたけど、それが無くなって少しすっきり
  • ソフトウェア
    • kernel : 2.6.28 -> 2.6.28.4
    • xorg : 変わらず
    • hwsetup : 1.4-3 -> 1.4-4
    • hwinfo : 変わらず

Debianも出たね

そういやDebian 5.0 lennyが2009/02/14にリリースされましたね。
Debian -- The Universal Operating System
4.0 etchが2007/04/08にでてから2年弱。
